RMA Facilitated Vaccine Clinic for Students.
GAINESVILLE, GA -- Riverside Military Academy (RMA) held a vaccine clinic for students ages 16 and above on Thursday, April 15.

Lynn Townley, RMA’s Director of Health Services, coordinated the event with the Hall County Health Department. A team of nurses administered the vaccines to more than 80 students in RMA’s newly upgraded infirmary.

President Staś Preczewski said, “We are one of the first, if not the only, school to make the vaccine available for students. Not only were they able to get their shot, they were able to do it on campus without interrupting their school day. RMA is committed to providing in-person experiences for our cadets in a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment, and, by having the vaccine clinic on campus, we can continue that mission.”

Students were not required to receive the vaccine but did need their parents’ consent. The second dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered in three weeks.
