Donors Pay It Forward.
It is with sincere gratitude that Riverside Military Academy expresses appreciation to alumnus John Phelps and his wife, Ann, for their gift of over $1 million to establish the John F. and Ann Phelps Endowment. This transformational gift is the largest in the Academy's history. It is the Phelps’ desire that the annual returns support scholarships providing need-based tuition assistance for deserving young men.
Phelps, class of 1956, came to RMA during the 1954-1955 school year as a young man seeking direction. While at RMA, he found his purpose and gained the skills needed to excel in life. After graduating, he used the foundation that was laid at RMA to build a successful career. Phelps felt driven to give back and help provide the same structure and benefits to the cadets of today as he once received over 60 years ago.
Philanthropy, from all of our donors, demonstrates an investment in RMA and our cadets that will equip the next generation of husbands, fathers, and leaders for a fast-paced age of global citizenry encompassing business, technology and the arts, all grounded in character and ethics. RMA remains committed to provide a great return on that investment.
