"Never shrink, never tuck tail and run; stand tall, be accountable, be honorable. Stay committed and stay courageous. That’s the Riverside way.” Mr. Corke told the Corps.
Tuesday, April 20, 2019, Kevin Corke White House Correspondent for Fox News was Riverside Military Academy Norman P. Blake Family Distinguished Speaker.  Riverside Military Academy includes bi-weekly distinguished speakers and discussion groups that center on the topics of integrity, leadership, ethical decision-making, and sound judgment. Through repeated exposure to these topics, the program's objective is to develop young men of character who are able to meet the challenges of college, career, and beyond.

“Life isn’t perfect, guys. It isn’t tidy. Sometimes you get yelled at, sometimes life throws you a tough break. But, you know what? When it really happens and comes at you tough...Never shrink, never tuck tail and run; stand tall, be accountable, be honorable. Stay committed and stay courageous. That’s the Riverside way.” Mr. Corke told the Corps.

Kevin Corke currently serves as Fox News Channel White House correspondent. He joined the network in 2014.

Before joining FNC, Corke spent four years as a member of the White House Press Corps covering the George W. Bush administration (2004-2008) for NBC News. His coverage experience in Washington includes reporting from the Pentagon, Supreme Court, Capitol Hill, and the U.S. State Department. In trips all over the globe aboard Air Force One, Corke has reported from numerous continents covering issues ranging from politics and international policy to trade and terrorism.

Previously, he has reported for the Today Show and NBC Nightly News. In political campaign cycles he served as an anchor for MSNBC's Super Tuesday political coverage.

Mr. Corke shared personal stories of determination and spoke to “what to do when something tragic happens.” Ms. Christian E. Mims, the academy’s director of marketing and public affairs said, “Mr. Corke was an incredible speaker because he spoke to the cadets rather than ‘at’ them. The lessons he cultivated through his stories were applicable to anyone, not just to the young men at the academy.”

Mr. Corke’s speech is available to watch in its entirety here.
