RMA Eagle Bots Rank 21 out of 82 Teams

Congratulations to the RMA Eagle Bots on a successful weekend of competing in the Peachtree District Qualifier Event.
On March 2nd - March 4th, Riverside Military Academy Robotics club competed in the 2018 Peachtree District Qualifier Event in the John L. Beaver Fieldhouse. With a total of 40 teams on campus, RMA Robotics finished the competition ranking 21 out of 82 teams. After just six weeks of building the bot, RMA Robotics had their first opportunity to compete for the first time ever. The Eagle Bots competed in eight matches on Saturday, starting at 8:00 am and finishing at 8:00 pm, before competing in four matches on Sunday. After a long weekend of competition and several modifications to their robot, the Eagle Bots put together a powerful, fully functional Eagle Bot. Congratulations to Coach Hector Salas and the RMA Eagle Bots on a strong performance! The seven cadets who competed are as follows: 
  •  Christian Welsh (Team Captain) - Electronics
  • Hong Jei Yang - Programmer - Most Valuable Player
  • David Zimmerman - Technical/Mechanics
  • John Owens - Technical/Mechanics
  • Jason Li - Strategist
  • Joseph Brockwell - Strategist
  • John Stetler - Strategist
The Eagle Bots next event will be March 10th-March11th in Dalton, GA.
