The purpose of Riverside Military Academy is to develop virtuous and competent young men who are prepared for success in college and positions of responsibility thereafter. The academic and military programs combine to produce young men of character, sound judgment, and commitment. Riverside graduates will embody the characteristics of an educated and engaged citizen – one who is critical to the governance of a free republic.
Character development is one of Riverside Military Academy’s four central pillars. In educating and developing men of character, we are committed to teaching time-honored values that promote social responsibility, good citizenship, and well-rounded personal growth in all aspects of life.
Character development is comprehensive at Riverside and is taught and modeled by our faculty, staff, and coaches. In addition to weaving important character lessons into our standard curriculum, the school has made a significant investment to establish and sustain The Norman P. Blake Family Distinguished Speaker Series.
The Norman P. Blake Family Distinguished Speaker Series at Riverside Military Academy includes bi-weekly distinguished speakers and discussion groups that center on the topics of integrity, leadership, ethical decision-making, and sound judgment. Through repeated exposure to these topics, the program's objective is to develop young men of character who are able to meet the challenges of college, career, and beyond.
