RMA Receives Walmart Community Grant

RMA Receives a $5,000 Grant from the Walmart Foundation.
Gainesville, GA, - Riverside Military Academy has proudly partnered with the Walmart Foundation, which has made it their mission to help people live better one community at a time. This year, Riverside Military Academy received a $5,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation to enhance student health and cultural awareness.

The Walmart Foundation’s Community Grant Program awards grants of $250 to $5,000 through Walmart stores, Sams’ Clubs, and Logistics facilities. Eligible nonprofit organizations must operate within the service area of the facility from which they are requesting funding.

On April 2, 2021, Riverside Military Academy’s Vice President for Advancement Ellen  DeFoor visited the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1435 Thompson Bridge Road to personally thank and recognize store manager Daniel Duran for their continued support. According to DeFoor, “Through their generous support and community grants program, the Walmart Foundation and local Neighborhood Walmart store have funded fitness equipment to help promote health and wellness on our campus. As an all-male boarding school with both domestic and international students, it has a tremendous impact on the quality of life for our cadets. We value their partnership and are truly grateful for their ongoing support.”

Since 2015, the Walmart Foundation has been a faithful supporter of Riverside Military Academy by donating more than $17,000 to help support our mission of producing leaders of character.
