Rifle Team Makes National Championship for the First Time in RMA History

Christian E. Mims
The RMA Precision Team will travel to Campy Perry, Ohio February 14-16th to compete at the All-Army National for the first time in the academy’s history.
Qualification is based upon scoring in the top 5% of all 17,007 Army JROTC programs.

Coach 1SG Stephen Peterson said, “These Cadets have dedicated themselves to being the best since August, where they began their training with strength and conditioning before even picking up a rifle to pull the trigger.”

This is a great achievement for cadets of Riverside Military Academy, but each is hoping to achieve the bigger goal of competing in the All-Service Nationals representing the Army and Riverside Military Academy competing against the top Navy, Air-Force and Marine JROTC programs.

The National Qualifiers for RMA are:

Brad Berutich
Ross Binder
Conor Brady
Alexander Hasselbrack
Robert Morgan
Aiden Smith

Peterson stated that the program is not created around winning trophies bu rather,
“the journey how you get there and how you succeed. There will be ups and downs in that process.”
Over the last two years, RMA Eagles have spread their wings as it has embraced a full-scale Sporter and Precision Rifle Program with 10 shooters in each division and has branched out into the Civilian Marksmanship Program as well.
