MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – Monday, October 21, 2019, Georgia Military College and Riverside Military
Academy will sign a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a formal academic transfer
mechanism between GMC and Riverside. Its purpose is so that any student who graduates from
Riverside Military Academy with a general, college preparatory or technical diploma is guaranteed
admission into GMC provided that the student meets the agreement requirements.

This agreement formally recognizes that GMC and Riverside are committed to the establishment of an educational partnership to better serve currently enrolled and future students at both institutions. Both parties agree to exercise due diligence in providing as smooth a transition as possible for students who elect to attend GMC following graduation from Riverside Military Academy.

Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV, President of Georgia Military College, says this agreement
broadens the scope of opportunity for Riverside students to pursue their higher education at GMC.
“We are thrilled to launch this partnership with Riverside Military Academy to expand opportunities for Riverside graduates to further their education with us at GMC,” Caldwell said. “An agreement such as this provides another excellent pathway toward the completion of a college degree. This partnership with Riverside is another step in providing greater opportunities and a brighter future for all citizens.

President of Riverside Military Academy Colonel Stanley C. “Staś” Preczewski, Retired, states,
“By partnering with Georgia Military College, who has a long-standing legacy for excellence, Riverside Military Academy cadets are given yet another opportunity to grow. The agreement expands Riverside Militarys continued commitment to providing its students with outstanding opportunities.

RMA and GMC share many of the same values. Both institutions recognize the need for a character-based education that focuses on mind, body, and spirit.
