RMA Track & Field Wins Region 8-A

RMA Track & Field wins GHSA Region 8-A Championship for the third year in a row.
RMA Track and Field won the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Region 8-A Championship for the third year in a row on April 27, 2019. The Championship was held at George Walton Academy in Monroe, GA and lasted two days.
The RMA Eagles won the 400-meter relay and placed first by seven seconds in the 1600-relay. Cadet Orlando Stevens won the 110-hurdles in 14.93 seconds and the long jump with 22’ 2.5’’ before badly injuring his leg in the 300 hurdles. Cadet Shad Dabney won the 100-meter with 11.22 seconds. Cadet Issac Teasley won the triple jump and took second in the 200 and the 400. Cadet Wookdong “Harry” Kim won the discus. 
The team travels to Rome, Georgia to defend its state title on May 9th.
