Vice President of Operations, Strategic Communications and Initiatives
Amanda Willis has served in executive roles and as a consultant for over 20 years in secondary and higher education. Her experience includes strategic planning, board development, admissions and recruitment, strategic communication, and fundraising. Most recently she was a senior consultant with Columns Fundraising of Atlanta, Georgia, and prior to that served as RMA’s vice president of advancement from 2009 to 2017.
She entered the education field as vice president of development at Westminster Christian Academy, a K-12 independent school with over 1,000 students in south Louisiana, following a tenure as a member of the Academy’s board of directors. Recruited to a leading consulting firm in the southeast, The J.F. Smith Group, she rose to the position of senior vice president. In 2009 she was recruited to the role of vice president for advancement at RMA.
Amanda holds a degree from Auburn University in journalism and has written for Louisiana newspapers as well as The New York Times News Service. She is a member and chairman-elect of the board of the Quinlan Visual Arts Center and is a member of The Rotary Club of Gainesville, GA. She will serve as president of the club in 2021-2022. She enjoys yoga, cooking, and hiking, especially with her husband, Bob, and her children and grandchildren.
