Serving young men in grades 6-12, Riverside Military Academy is located in the city of Gainesville, Georgia. Supported by a distinctive military structure, the academic, athletic, leadership, and character development programs enhance the overall educational experience while producing young men of character, sound judgment, and commitment. Riverside Military Academy is a private school in Gainesville that teaches young men in grades 6-12 who desire structure, focus, active learning, and freedom from distractions. We’re an all-boys school that offers college preparatory and college-level courses for young men who are ready for a more rigorous challenge.
Unlike other private schools in Georgia, we offer boarding for our students. Studies show that the boarding school experience can be a social and emotional bridge to developing independence in young people. Boarding school students tend to be more engaged, hard-working, independent, confident, and better equipped to face new challenges. Students are surrounded and inspired by motivated peers who are focused on achieving their goals.

Riverside Military Academy is a military cadet school where the majority of the Corps of Cadets reside on campus, so the cadet experience transcends the classroom and reaches into all areas of cadet life. Riverside Military’s barracks complex is divided into Company units, and all Companies are supervised around the clock by Riverside Military TAC (Teacher/Advisor/Counselor) Officers.
Students from diverse backgrounds live, study, and play together at our cadet school. They create enduring bonds, connecting them not only to their current classmates, but also to a worldwide Riverside Military Academy Alumni network.

Athletics
Our goal at Riverside Military Academy is to provide an overall competitive athletic department with all of our sports. We currently offer 13 varsity level sports with many of them also represented in our JV programs.
Riverside's middle school athletic program for young men in grades 6-8 is focused on instruction, skills development, and sportsmanship. Our middle school students field teams in football, basketball, and baseball. Students interested in other sports such as cross-country, tennis, and wrestling have the opportunity to compete with Riverside's junior varsity teams.
