Food Drive for Hunger Challenge
On behalf of the Student Affairs Team and Student Senate, Riverside Military Academy cadets are asking all parents to help us build on our community service and provide food for those in need in Hall County. We ask that Riverside families donate nonperishable food and other items from the list below.
Two years ago the RMA family came together and donated almost 4,500 lbs of food to Georgia Mountain Food Bank, and we believe we can do this again and go beyond that! We were so confident in believing in what our parents and what our cadets can do, we entered the Georgia Mountain Food Bank 2021 Food Drive Challenge! The drive will start on November 1st and end on November 12th.
We ask all parents to send canned foods and other listed items to your cadet via your cadet's company by placing the name of the company and the name of your cadet on the package. This will ensure we know exactly who the package is for. (See example below)

The cadets also asked if we could make it a competition on campus again, and we have agreed to do so! The drive of the cadets when they all collectively work towards one goal is amazing. The details of the winning company will go out to parents and cadets soon. We believe a food drive is a great way to introduce the idea of community service and selfless acts to all of our cadets. I truly hope you all help RMA win this award, not just for the recognition of our cadets, but to show all of Hall County we truly care about our community.
