Rowing is a year-round sport, with longer “head” races the rule in the Fall, and shorter “sprint” races in the Spring.  Multi-sport athletes will be encouraged to participate when they are not in their primary sport season.  Rowing is an excellent sport for cross-training because of the low risk of injury and the opportunity to reach peak cardiovascular conditioning.

Students must pass a swim test that will include treading water for 10 minutes, swimming 100 meters, and donning a life jacket while in the water. Students will also participate in two weeks of land training.

Members of the Riverside Military Academy Rowing team can earn varsity letters.
