School Counselor

Riverside Military Academy is accepting applications for a School Counselor for the 2013-2014 academic year.  This position is a full-time, ten-month contract position with benefits.  Incumbent has the responsibility of providing individual student planning, college counseling, large group guidance, responsive services, and system support including AP test coordination. Periodic weekend work is required. Applicant must have a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited university in school counseling and be certified in school counseling.  Excellent oral and written communication in English required.  All applicants must pass a post-employment drug screen and background check.  To apply, send in a completed faculty application with resume/CV and three written letters of reference.

Science Teacher

Riverside Military Academy is accepting applications for the position of Science (Biology & Earth Science) Teacher for the 2013-2014 Academic year. Qualified applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Science – two years teaching experience in Secondary education required. Teaching certification preferred; must be pursued within the first year of employment. Military experience preferred but not required. Position incumbent must be available for chaperone duties as needed. Starting salary depends upon education and experience. On-Call Substitute Teachers

Riverside Military Academy has an immediate opening for On-call Substitute Teachers. Substitute teachers are on-call for times when a regular teacher has a planned or unplanned event and cannot be in the classroom and are expected to be available on short notice. Compensation rate for substitute teachers is $70.00 per teaching day. Riverside Military Academy has an immediate opening for a part-time, weekend Security Officers.  Applicant must be able to work two eleven-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday and one eight hour shift on Monday.  Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have a valid Georgia Driver's License.  Candidates must also be able stand and walk for long periods of time, be able to lift 50 lbs, and climb 4 flights of stairs.  Starting salary is $8.00 per hour.  To apply, complete a non-faculty application.

Assistant Director of Bands

Riverside Military Academy is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Bands for the 2013-2014 Academic year. Job duties will include assisting the Director of Bands in every facet of the RMA Band program.  Experience in developing jazz ensembles strongly preferred.  Qualified applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education – marching and concert band experience required. Military experience preferred but not required.
