Dining Services

At an all-boys school, food is critical ingredient for student life. Riverside is committed to serving nutritious and appetizing meals to its students. Meals are served in Riverside’s stately oak-paneled dining hall, which is decorated with flags representing our students’ home states and countries.
A variety of menu selections, including a salad bar and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, is typically available at each meal. Our food services department and a student food committee regularly review quality and menu selections to meet the needs of our students.
During the fall and spring, the commandant’s office and parent volunteers often host company barbecues at the Riverside family park. The boys in each company enjoy a relaxed night out of the dining hall to socialize with their friends. During the winter months, themed meals - such as an Italian night and Mardi Gras - are planned regularly to showcase different cultural celebrations and ethnic foods.
The Corps of Cadets and faculty and staff also celebrate seasonal holidays - such as Thanksgiving and Christmas - with special meals together.
The Eagles’ Nest

The Eagles’ Nest — Riverside’s cadet grill — serves up a variety of snack foods, including pizza, hamburgers, hot wings, nachos, and ice cream. The Eagles’ Nest is usually open on Wednesday afternoons and during weekend activity hours.
